In a sighting that will have many an excited "Notebook" fan playing and replaying Noah and Allie's climactic, rain-soaked "It wasn't over for me -- it still isn't over" moment, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams were photographed exiting a Los Angeles club together on Tuesday night. Not surprisingly, the meet-up has prompted speculation of a possible reunion for the onetime holders of the Cutest Canadian Couple Ever title, who parted ways in April of 2007 after nearly two years of low-key coupledom. According to People, the should-be-way-more-famous actress turned out to support her ex as he made his deejay debut at the hot spot's jazz night, entertaining the star-dotted crowd with ditties from the '40s and '50s. "They talked when he was away from the deejay stand," a Gosling pal relays to the magazine. "They really looked like good pals. He seemed happy to see her." The Best Kiss-winning duo ostensibly split because of their busy work schedules, with the actor, who was recently photographed walking hand-in-hand with a leggy brunette in New York, telling the November issue of GQ that they "went down swingin' and we called it a draw." Rachel, he acknowledged, was "one of the great loves of my life," and said that "Notebook" devotees do them "a disservice by assuming we were anything like the people in that movie. Rachel and my love story is a hell of a lot more romantic than that."
In recent months, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have become increasingly comfortable showing off their coziness, whether through public make-out sessions or flashing the occasional smile to the paparazzi. But is their more relaxed attitude a sign of a bigger commitment to come? "I can see him marrying her," ventures an insider to Us Weekly. "She is what he needs right now -- a grown-up relationship." Still, the trucker hat-championing crooner, who's been dating the well-muscled actress for more than a year, has repeatedly downplayed the long-simmering nuptial speculation (in May, the London Sun claimed they were planning to tie the knot on the Caribbean island of Mustique). Besides, not everyone seems convinced there's a sparkler in Biel's immediate future. The National Enquirer alleges that one sticking point is Timberlake's mom, who thinks that at the tender age of 27, he's too darn young to settle down. "He is completely in love with Jessica and has every intention of marrying her," a source tells the tab, "but he also adores his mom and doesn't want to cause any waves with her." For now, Justin and Jessica appear content just to spend quality time together. On Tuesday night, they were photographed sharing a laugh as they exited a Los Angeles comedy club. Jennifer Aniston apparently accomplished two things as she tagged along on John Mayer's world tour: She managed not to puncture her own eardrums upon hearing the opening chords of "Your Body Is a Wonderland" for the 20th time, and she's been embraced by his entourage. "John has such an amazing crew of musicians and friends with him. Everyone gets along and is drama-free and Jen fits right in -- perfectly," a pal of the newly buzz-cut crooner tells People. "Everyone really loves her." The pair, who dodged the paparazzi this week as they hit Los Angeles hot spot Villa, "are very happy together," adds the insider. "It's working really well and they're only getting closer. His friends think she's great for him." When you're dating Gisele Bundchen, pretty much every day is your birthday, but the Brazilian supermodel supposedly plans to make boyfriend Tom Brady's big 3-1 next week extra memorable. OK! claims she's contacted several photographer friends about shooting her in 12 different poses, which she'll combine into a personal calendar for the New England Patriots quarterback. "She's got some racy lingerie shots, a birthday cake shot for August, and the expected picture of her in kneesocks and his jersey!" says a "pal." "He's going to love it!" |
