Baby Talk: Nicole and Keith's Sunday Not for Sale

As bidding for the first photos of the newest members of the Jolie-Pitt bunch reportedly heads north of $16 million, there are whispers that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban may have reconsidered their reported stance against selling snaps of daughter Sunday Rose, who made her much-anticipated debut on July 7 in Nashville. "[Kidman] wanted $3 million," sniffs an editor at a celebrity weekly to the New York Post, "and we weren't going to pay that." Not so, insists the Oscar winner's rep, who tells "Access Hollywood," "Baby photos were never for sale and will never be for sale. We had a bunch of publications approach and offer money. We told them we weren't in the market." We're inclined to believe the publicist on this one. After all, if Matthew McConaughey can land a reported $3 million from OK! for the exclusive first peek at son Levi (mom is model Camila Alves), the combined star power of Nicole and Keith would presumably make their firstborn worth far more. We're still betting the pair will simply offer up a pic to the public, just as they did when they were hitched in 2006 (they suggested that anyone using the image donate to the Sydney Children's Hospital). "If they ever release a photo, it will only be in an attempt to avoid the aggressive paparazzi who go after a 'first photo' for the tabloids and tend to endanger people's lives, or at least make them very miserable," explains a mole to FoxNews.com. "They would never sell one. Never." Whatever they decide to do, right now Kidman and Urban are completely enraptured with their rug rat, even though they're likely elbow-deep in poopie diapers and suffering from a lack of sleep. "We are in heaven," the actress swoons in an e-mail to the New York Post's Liz Smith. "Can't stop staring at her in complete awe. Feeling incredibly blessed to have been given this precious little angel." The blissed-out couple did manage to tear their eyes away from the tyke for a short time on Wednesday. Paparazzi snapped them making stops at Whole Foods and at a mattress store, with the once-again slimline Kidman, decked out in a white T-shirt and a denim jacket, showing off the merest hint of a post-baby belly (in other words, what the rest of us look like after a hearty lunch).

Meanwhile, the little nipper of the aforementioned McConaughey, who also arrived on July 7, appears to be a chip off the old block. No, little Levi isn't wiggling out of his onesie in a nod to his shirt-eschewing pop, but he is showing a definite genetic connection. "Levi looks just like Matthew," a source tells OK!, which will soon publish the first shots of the tot. What's more, "[Matthew] is really getting into being a dad," shares the spy. "He's enjoying every second of it and is helping Camila out with diapering and bathing so that she has time to rest up and recover from the delivery."

Pete shoos away photogs from Ashlee's belly in Los Angeles on July 15.

Pete Wentz is already in Papa Bear mode when it comes to protecting Ashlee Simpson's precious cargo. The diminutive Fall Out Boy bassist demanded that a crush of paparazzi -- yes, Ashlee and Pete now have their very own shutterbug swarm -- back off as he and his expectant missus exited a Los Angeles restaurant earlier this week. "She's [bleeping] pregnant!" he barked. "Move over!" Meanwhile, Star may have guessed wrong when it trumpeted twin daughters for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, but that hasn't stopped it from flipping a coin on the contents of Mrs. Wentz's womb. The tab's conclusion: It's a girl. "Ashlee and Pete are on cloud nine," blabs an insider. "The doctor told them they actually conceived the baby just before Valentine's Day while they were on vacation and has given them an initial due date of Oct. 31. When Pete heard he might have his baby on Halloween, he went nuts. For an emo-rocker type like Pete, that would be just too perfect!" Of course, just two weeks ago, CelebTV posited that the stork would be bringing a boy, citing the multitude of items in the color blue that the couple supposedly registered for at go-to baby boutique Petit Tresor.

And in a final bit of baby news, Uma Thurman wants everyone to know that a bulging belly does not always mean there's a bun in the oven. Incubation speculation began this week after paparazzi caught the statuesque, bikini-sporting star showing off a slightly rounder-than-normal midsection as she cruised aboard a yacht off Corsica with her newly minted moneybags fiancé, Arpad Busson. But her rep downplays the rumblings to E! News, pooh-poohing, "She is not pregnant."
