"We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl.
She's an absolute delight." That's Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, rhapsodizing to People about Sunday Rose, who
arrived Monday in Nashville. It was reportedly a "smooth delivery," and the
country crooner stuck close to his wife during the labor. "Nicole is euphoric,"
a pal adds to the mag. "She's wanted this for so long." Meanwhile, Australia's
Daily Telegraph reports the blissful new parents are likely to baptize the tyke
in Sydney, and the Catholic priest who conducted their 2006 nuptials says he's
already talked to the Oscar winner's parents about performing the baptism.
"Nothing is concrete, but I am just hoping we can have a very moving and happy
ceremony for Nicole and Keith's baby here with the grandparents," Father Coleman
blabs to the paper. "It's a beautiful name and I am thrilled and pleased for
them both. They deserve every happiness and joy after trying so hard for this
baby they really wanted." Earlier this week, Kidman's dad, Antony, revealed the artistic inspiration behind Sunday's unique
moniker.
Speaking of ankle-biter appellations, Chris Martin doesn't understand why
anyone would find it odd that he and Gwyneth Paltrow named their tykes
Apple and Moses. "People make a big fuss over names. Names of babies, names of
albums, names of bands," the Coldplay front man expounds during a reader-generated Q&A
in Blender. "There's nothing weird about calling your baby Chewbacca if that's
what you want to call your baby. It's no stranger than Sarah." (Personally, we
prefer the more classic-sounding Han Solo, but moving on...). Declares Martin,
"A name is just a noise, and if you like it, then [bleep] what everyone else
says."
In related news, Mrs. Martin reveals that 4-year-old Apple may have a future
as a stylist, while 2-year-old Moses may have some therapy sessions awaiting
him. "She makes [Moses] cross-dress," Gwyneth told People on Wednesday at an
Estée Lauder promotional event. "But she doesn't put makeup on him!" Apple, she
says, "plays with anything that's girly ... She puts on the eye shadow and my
high heels ... She likes to take my tank tops and make them a dress. And then
she asks me to tie a rubber band on the back so they stay up."
Jessica Alba, not feeling
sexy. |
Jessica Alba rarely turned her frown upside down
while she was gestating the fruit of hubby Cash Warren's loins, and now we may
know why. "I never felt less sexy," she confesses to the August issue of
Cosmopolitan UK of sporting a swollen belly (daughter Honor arrived last month).
"I mean, I wouldn't have changed it for the world ... but I wanted to get rid of
all the weight." Recent snaps of the actress looking ridiculously svelte show
she hasn't wasted anytime doing just that, with a source enthusing to E! News
that she's "almost back down to her fighting weight." Alba reportedly just
revamped her wardrobe with designer jeans that are nearly the same size as she
was wearing before her pregnancy. "She is normally a 26/27, and she is a 28
right now," reveals the snitch. "Pretty quick at losing the weight."
It wasn't just Christina Aguilera's bra size that increased while she was pregnant with
now 6-month-old son Max. "My stomach was really where I carried my weight," the
makeup-addicted popster admits to the August issue of Glamour. "Toward the end
of my pregnancy, I felt really big -- I gained about 40 pounds, which is a lot
for my size. My hips also changed significantly. And my feet grew from a size 5
½ to a size 7 in flats." And even though Christina probably hasn't seen much of
her tootsies due to her view-obscuring E cups, she's relieved they've returned
to normal. "I would have been so depressed if I had to get rid of my shoe
collection," she says.
