Liv Tyler says she sees no problem in retaining her
youthful good looks with a little help from her friendly neighborhood plastic
surgeon. "I'm definitely going to have some, I'm sure," the ethereal actress
admits to Allure (via People). "Especially when you see what happens to your
body after you have a baby." This pro-nip-tuck stance is quite a turnaround for
Liv, who turns 30 on July 1. Less than two years ago, she was quoted as saying,
"I don't want to ever have cosmetic surgery, so I want to do the best I can with
what I have. I hate that look where people's faces have just changed. It's so
creepy." Tyler tells Allure how she's struggled to regain her sylphlike figure
after the birth of son Milo in December 2004, explaining, "I was trying to get
back into shape so I went to the gym every day, sometimes twice a day."
She's only been a movie star for about a month, but Katherine Heigl is already being accused of acting
like a diva. The Boston Herald claims the "Knocked Up" beauty tossed a "hissy fit" on the Rhode Island
set of her always-a-bridesmaid comedy "27 Dresses" when she had to do multiple takes of a scene in
which she gets trampled during a bouquet toss. "She was very disgruntled," a
snitch tells the paper. "There was a lot of eye-rolling and 'Why can't we move
this along' comments. Several cast members were treated to a nasty attitude
attack." But a rep for the movie denies there were any Heigl histrionics,
telling the paper, "I spoke to people on the set and they observed nothing that
could be construed as unhappy behavior on her part."
In related attitude news, did Britney Spears throw a temper tantrum on one of the rare days
she was required to do actual work? "There was a shoot last week in L.A. for a
new perfume she's coming out with and something happened," an insider maintains
to the New York Post. "She got very upset and stormed out of the shoot and
wouldn't come back. She is not listening to anyone and doing exactly what she
wants. But sometimes she doesn't know best."
Kelly Clarkson is dredging up painful episodes from her past
to promote her bad-PR-plagued new album, "My December." The belter, 25, tells
CosmoGirl! that she suffered from a bout of bulimia when she didn't get a part
in a high school musical. "I thought ... if I came back and I'm cuter and
thinner ... then I'll get the role," she admits. Her purge problem lasted six
months, until a pal figured out what she was doing. "One of my guy friends
caught on to it, and I just felt so ashamed and embarrassed," she recounts to
the magazine. "I literally went cold turkey and snapped out of it." These days,
she's come to terms with her figure, shapely behind and all. "I've got a butt,
I'm Greek -- I can't help that," says Kelly. "And I think it's good for people
to see normal."
Speaking of self-esteem, Catherine Zeta-Jones reveals that just because she's
beautiful, famous and sleeps atop a huge mountain of money (or so we imagine),
that doesn't mean she's brimming with confidence. "I'm more insecure than I ever
let anyone know," Mrs. Michael Douglas fesses up to In Style. "Sometimes you
protect yourself with this kind of armor that people see more than they see
you."
