Does it count as a housewarming if your guests are left out in the cold? Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes tossed an elaborate indoor-outdoor bash for several hundred family and friends Saturday night at their new $35 million, 10,000-square-foot Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion, report Us and E! News.

Usual TomKat suspects such as Oprah Winfrey, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Brooke Shields mixed and mingled with the A-list likes of Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal under the stars -- and beneath the warm glow of heat lamps.

The invitees, who also included former Cruise co-stars Keri Russell, Cuba Gooding Jr., Dakota Fanning, fellow Scientologist Kirstie Alley and, oddly enough, Prince, began arriving around 9 p.m. at the sprawling compound, which has reportedly been under renovation for about a year.

"Tom and Katie stood at the front door greeting all their guests," a spy tells People. "They were so gracious."

Wolfgang Puck catered the lavish affair, with guests sitting down for a "formal dinner" beneath a massive black tent in the front of the estate and chit-chatting in a sofa-lined lounge area in the backyard, according to OK!.

Setting the mood were white lights strung from the trees, and an orchestra, which at one point played the "Mission: Impossible" theme, just in case anyone forgot who was footing the colossal bill for the food and drink (by the by, the theme can also be heard on Cruise's recently unveiled personal Web site).

No word on whether the band also launched into "Old Time Rock and Roll" and Cruise's tighty-whities made an appearance.

The soiree was a big enough deal for Katie's rarely seen parents to make the trek out from Ohio. They joined Tom's ever-present mother and sister, along with kids Bella, 15, Connor, 13, and Suri, 2.

To commemorate their move into the seven-bedroom, 10-bath manse, TomKat, who were both clad all in white, posed for photographs on the front steps, where Holmes was snapped throwing one long leg around Cruise as they both flashed their trademark ear-to-ear grins.
