When it comes to elusive and possibly mythical creatures, the mysterious
Gyllenspoon ranks right up there with the Loch Ness Monster and Big Foot -- and
even they've been blurrily captured on film. Despite the lack of photographic
evidence after more than two months of ostensible togetherness, Reese Witherspoon, 31, and Jake Gyllenhaal, 26, are "still going strong," says
Us Weekly. The surreptitious squeezes supposedly met up on May 25 after a visit
to a Los Angeles-area doctor's office, zooming away in separate cars on their
way to the actress' pad. "Jake put his hand out of the sunroof and was waving,"
says a bystander, who gleaned an extraordinary amount of information from a
glimpse of Gyllenhaal's waggling digits, gushing, "They looked totally in love."
The dreamy eyed actor's friends concur with the conclusion-leaping eyewitness.
"Jake said he's found someone who knows how to look out for both of them, and
not just themselves," an insider shares with the mag. "Reese is more attentive
than anyone else he knows."
Josh Hartnett may be a one-eyebrow kind of guy, but
he's apparently not a one-woman kind of guy -- at least according to the New
York Daily News, which says the actor, who has been repeatedly spied
spit-shining Penélope Cruz's tonsils at various Manhattan hot
spots in recent weeks, was looking cozy with a blond model Monday night at the
appropriately named Snitch Bar. "She sat on his lap in thigh-high black boots
and white shorts while he chain-smoked," a mole tattles to the paper. Cruz was
snapped in Vancouver, B.C., this week on the set of the drama "Elegy."
Looks like Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have raised the stakes on their
rumored cuddle-bunnies: They've been spotted picking out home accessories
together. Canada's National Post reports the low-profile "Jumper" co-stars, who
were first linked about three months ago, stopped by a swanky Toronto store on
Tuesday and loaded up on domestic goods such as citronella candles, Moroccan
lanterns and a doormat. But do these new purchases signal the start of a
real-life version of "Green Acres"? Christensen tells
enRoute magazine that he recently bought a farm in northern Toronto, which he's
stocked with "construction toys," including a dump truck. "I can't wait to go
out there and move dirt and get my hands dirty," he says. "It's currently a hay
farm, but I want it to be a working farm. I want to fill the barn with
livestock. First pigs, then cattle and horses." No word on whether Bilson, who
split from former "O.C." co-star Adam Brody late last year, plans to sink her
well-manicured hands into the muck.
Kevin Connolly insists he and Haylie Duff are just friends, but they appeared more than a
bit chummy during a recent night out. People reports the pocket-sized "Entourage" star was "acting very
attentive" and "showed plenty of affection" for Hilary's big sister when they partied at Los Angeles hot spot
Hyde a few days back, even keeping his arm wrapped around her waist as she
chitchatted with some gal pals.
