Natalie Portman prefers to keep her private life under
wraps, but that hasn't quelled speculation about her latest love interest. Seems
the doe-eyed actress, who not too long ago was spied arm-in-arm with model-designer Nathan Bogle, is now
rumored to be yukking it up with a frizzy haired funnyman. Us Weekly says
Portman, 25, is spending quality time with "Saturday
Night Live" star Andy Samberg, 28, whom you'll recall promised he'd
always pay for her dry cleaning in the guffaw-filled gangsta rap video she shot
for "SNL" in 2006. The mag says Natalie began dating the "Lazy Sunday"-spouting
Samberg, who was linked last year to Kirsten Dunst, after recently calling it quits
with her smoldering sometime squeeze, Gael Garcia Bernal. At least one Portman mole is
happy to hear she may be dating a mensch, telling the mag, "A nice Jewish boy
would be good for her!"
For his next trick, Criss Angel will play it coy on those Cameron Diaz romance rumors while simultaneously drumming up
publicity for his upcoming stunt. "Cam is an amazing person," the
highlight-happy "Mindfreak" illusionist, 39, tells People. "I'm so honored to
be able to call her my friend." Angel, who on June 4 will attempt to escape from
a concrete-encased cube suspended over Times Square before it plunges to the
ground (gee, do you think he'll make it out?), has spent the last two weekends in Las Vegas cuddling up to the
giggly actress, although even insiders are unclear about the nature of their
relationship. "I don't know how to classify them," a "close source" explains to
the magazine. "But she is using the word 'we' to mean her and Criss." Still,
Diaz, 34, isn't lacking attention from the opposite sex. The actress, who was in
Australia this week stumping for "Shrek the Third," was recently spotted hanging out
with surfer-pal Kelly Slater.
Hear that? It's the institution of marriage asking for an extra-tight
straightjacket and a lithium chaser. According to Us, self-proclaimed "world's
greatest boyfriend" Spencer Pratt will be getting a title change now that he's
popped the question to his "Hills"
co-star, Heidi Montag. The aptly named Pratt, 23, reportedly asked the misguided
blonde, who at 20 seems to think she's encroaching on old maid territory, to be
his starter wife Tuesday night at the luxe Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara,
Calif., sealing the deal with a diamond-dotted platinum band with a pink stone.
"She said 'yes,'" a speed-dialing source promptly informed the mag. "She's over
the moon!" The publicity-courting couple has -- shocker -- yet to set a wedding
date.
Just how much of a weakness does Mischa Barton have for limp-locked rocker types?
The London Daily Mirror claims the fashion-challenged starlet, 21, who split
from hirsute, low-hanging honey Cisco Adler in February, was left "red-faced"
when she tried and failed to work her elusive charms on Kid Rock, 36, while making the scene at the Cannes Film
Festival. Rock reportedly remains hot and heavy with model May Andersen.
Looks like Petra Nemcova has joined the rest of the world in being totally
over James Blunt warbling "You're Beautiful." The London Sun says
the tsunami-surviving model was in no mood to bump into her crooning Casanova ex
while attending a soiree at the Cannes Film Festival. "Don't even talk to me
about James," an eye-rolling Petra is quoted as telling a pal. "I just want to
enjoy myself tonight." Blunt supposedly skipped the shindig to avoid a run-in
with the brunet beauty, who actually did seem to enjoy herself. The New York
Daily News says she was getting her flirt on with Paris Hilton's Greek billion-heir cast-off, Stavros
Niarchos.
