Cameron Diaz wasn't lacking for male attention over
the weekend. Paparazzi caught her hanging out on Friday morning in Malibu,
Calif., with her chrome-domed, well-muscled surfer pal, Kelly Slater. Hours
later, she was back in Las Vegas for the second weekend in a row, seemingly still mesmerized by
the two-toned tresses and deft prestidigitation of magician Criss Angel. People reports the perplexing pair hit
popular eatery Social House at the Treasure Island Hotel, where they chowed down
in a romantic private dining room above the Strip. According to a spy, they
started dinner sitting across from one another but were soon noshing
side-by-side. Cameron and Criss later "cuddled" and whispered in each other's
ears in the VIP section of hot spot Pure before partying into the wee small
hours at the Hard Rock's Body English.
Jude Law and James Blunt appear to be taking advantage of all
that the Cannes Film Festival has to offer. No, not sneak peeks of upcoming
films and deep-pocketed, deal-making moguls -- scads of scantily clad women. The
London Daily Mirror claims the field-playing actor (he reportedly chatted up Jessica Simpson at the fest) and the whine-prone
singer-songwriter, who both have the dubious distinction of being recently
linked to Lindsay Lohan, sampled the semi-clad wares at a
Playboy shindig. "Jude and James actually had their arms around two blondes each
for most of the party," a snitch tattles to the paper. "By the end of the night
they were both getting very close to the girls. Jude's hands were wandering and
he just couldn't stop smiling. Both he and James looked like they were in
heaven." Champagne and vodka might have contributed to those rapturous feelings:
The paper purports the tippling, touchy-feely twosome ran up a $4,000 bar bill.
One minute the media has Leonardo DiCaprio about to get married to model Bar Refaeli; while the next
minute he's supposedly seeing someone new. The latest romance rumor comes
courtesy of the London Sunday Mirror, which is convinced the actor has been
cozying up to little-known actress Daya Fernandez at the Cannes Film Festival.
"Daya and Leo are inseparable," "a friend" of DiCaprio's alleges to the tab.
"They have known each other for years but have never got together because Leo's
never single. Now Daya has him all to herself in sunny Cannes and things are
moving really quickly -- they can't get enough of each other." But sources
assure the New York Daily News that DiCaprio and Fernandez are just pals.
Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson show no signs of cooling
down. People reports the golden-locked, look-alike lovebirds held hands and made
googly eyes at each other while recently splitting a plate of linguine at a Los
Angeles restaurant. No word on whether they ended up accidentally locking lips
after sucking on the same long strand of pasta or if Owen used his prominent
proboscis to nudge a meatball in Kate's direction.
For the second time this month, Natalie Portman has been seen in the
company of a dark-haired looker who isn't her fickle flame, Gael García Bernal. The New York Post reports the
doe-eyed actress was arm-in-arm with Nathan Bogle, a former model and one of the
co-founders of the clothing company Rag & Bone, at a recent charitable fete
in Manhattan. The two were also spotted together at a New York soiree on May 1,
according to Style.com, which says Bogle "lingered close by" Portman at the
party.
Kirsten Dunst is enjoying some downtime following her
continent-hopping media blitz for "Spider-Man 3." She was snapped at a London cricket
match on Friday locking lips with her beau of two months, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell. "They were having such a
blast," an onlooker says of the squeezes (via JustJared.com), who were sporting
matching black leather jackets, dark shades and snaggle-toothed smiles. "They
paid more attention to each other than the match."
Pamela Anderson's appearance at the Cannes Film
Festival was brief but memorable. In addition to being booed by photographers and flashing her mountainous assets
during a yacht-set photoshoot, she apparently sent her ex-hubby Kid Rock running in the opposite direction. The New York
Daily News reports the scruffy rocker was dining out with model-girlfriend May
Andersen Thursday night when Pam entered the restaurant. "All of a sudden, 'Kid
is like, 'Let's go, let's go!' He grabs May and pulls her out, and they leave
right away," an insider tells the paper. "Kid Rock freaks out, and I've never
seen him like that in my life." Anderson was informed of her ex-hubby's hasty
retreat by another ex, model Marcus Schenkenberg. "He told her Kid Rock was in
the building, and she got upset. Marcus said, 'Yeah, and I think he's going to
leave because you're here,'" says the spy. "Then she got on her BlackBerry and
started texting somebody -- she was so mad that he would leave to avoid her."
