What does a guy have to do to catch the eye of a leggy, A-list actress? Cutting yourself in half and setting yourself on fire might be a good place to start. Cameron Diaz, 34, was snapped hanging out in Las Vegas on Monday night with coif-challenged "Mindfreak" magician, Criss Angel, 39.

According to People, the random duo kicked off their night on the town with a bite at the Bellagio Hotel before hopping into Angel's Rolls Royce (illusion apparently pays way better than we thought) and heading over to catch a performance of Cirque du Soleil's Beatle homage, "LOVE."

"They were snuggling with each other and he was making her laugh," a theater spy tells the mag. "They seemed really happy."

The two reportedly sparked to one another while partying over the weekend at hotspot Jet, where Angel, who in recent months has been linked to Minnie Driver and -- eek! -- Paris Hilton, entertained Diaz with his prestidigitation (it's not nearly as dirty as it sounds).

"He soon had Cameron enraptured with various little tricks," a mole tells the London Daily Mirror. "He always does that to get women and once again it worked like, well, magic."

Meanwhile, as the actress enjoyed Criss' sleight of hand, her former flame, Justin Timberlake, 26, got touchy-feely with rumored amour Jessica Biel, 25.

The crooner, whose flirtatious attentions towards the callipygian starlet at a Golden Globes bash back in January reportedly led to a very public blowout with Diaz, was photographed locking lips with Jess on Tuesday night at a hotel bar in Manchester, England (he was in town for a concert).

"They were kissing and holding hands," a spy tattles to Us Weekly, which says the comely couple eventually made a beeline for the presidential suite.

Adds a spy to the Mirror, "They're both doing everything they can to keep their relationship low-profile, but when they're among friends they can hardly keep their hands off each other."

Justin and Jessica were also seen cozying up at a Manchester United soccer match, although an insider downplays the seriousness of their saliva-swapping to Us, pooh-poohing, "He's on tour till September, so it's baby steps till then."

No word on how Diaz reacted to their PDA, although she insisted to Ellen DeGeneres this week that she and Justin, who she dated for four years, remain on good terms (they even shared a photo op kiss at the premiere of "Shrek the Third" last week).

"I love how people just expect when people break up to hate each other, but you know ... we're still in each other's lives," she explains. "When you care about somebody, you just want them to be happy and that's what we both are now ... Life is amazing. There's nothing not to be happy about."

Including, it seems, the knowledge that a rumored Timberlake hookup never happened. The New York Daily News claims that when Kate Hudson bumped into Diaz recently in New York City, she took the opportunity to deny whispers that she'd had a New Years' Eve rendezvous with a newly single Justin.

"Kate and Cameron ran into each other outside the bathroom at the Waverly Inn a couple of Saturdays ago," a snitch informs the paper. "Kate told Cameron: 'I didn't sleep with your man, you know.'"

At that, claims the source, "Cameron teared up, and they hugged."

And what of Scarlett Johansson, 22, who tangled tongues with Timberlake in his "What Comes Around ... Goes Around" video and allegedly enjoyed a bump and grind session with him over Super Bowl weekend in Miami (and later went on a shopping excursion with Jessica)?

The stacked starlet remains hot and heavy with Ryan Reynolds, 30, who, in a perfect example of how Hollywood's dating pool is now puddle-sized, was rumored to be wooing his "Blade: Trinity" co-star, Biel, back in February.

People reports the tonsil hockey enthusiasts took their gameplay to Los Angeles on Monday night, meeting up at a Damnwells show at the Troubadour.

"In the foyer they were talking and had their hands all over each other," a bystander tells the magazine. "He kissed her a couple more times in the club. He was totally sweet. She went to the restroom and he went to check up on her."

Adds a more succinct spy to E!'s Marc Malkin, "They wouldn't stop making out."

Scarlett and Ryan later exited the show hand-in-hand.
