Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are rapidly becoming the romantic equivalent of Bigfoot. While there have been several reported sightings of the rumored squeezes, concrete evidence of coupledom has yet to surface. TMZ.com is the latest to catch a glimpse of the elusive Gyllenspoon, with an operative supposedly spotting them zooming down a Los Angeles freeway on Friday night. According to the eagle-eyed and detail-oriented spy, Reese and Jake were -- hold onto your hats -- "laughing it up" as she chowed down on a yogurt.

Pete Wentz not only has a deft hand with his eyeliner -- he also has a firm shoulder for girlfriend Ashlee Simpson to lean on. Us Weekly reports the Fall Out Boy bassist, 27, came to the remodeled starlet's aid when she began to feel under-the-weather at the opening night bash of his New York City bar, Angels and Kings. "She was a little wobbly," an eyewitness tells the mag. Wentz ended up beating a hasty retreat from an interview to help the "ailing" warbler, 22, telling the reporter, "Hey, man, I've got a sick girl. Can we do this fast?" Prior to Simpson's unsteadiness, she and Pete were seen downing scotch on the rocks and snuggling up on one of the club's couches, reports Star. "They were completely absorbed with one another," says a mole. "Ashlee kept stroking Pete's hair and whispering into his ear." Meanwhile, People spied them earlier in the evening at a Mexican restaurant, where Wentz and a pal chowed down on, among other things, chips and guacamole. Simpson, says the mag, "didn't eat, sticking to her drink instead."

Only in Hollywood could a couple who just four months ago pledged to stick together until death do they part have already been "separated for a quite a while." But that's what a rep for Bradley Cooper tells TMZ.com of the actor's "mutual" split from Jennifer Esposito, who filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing the usual irreconcilable differences. The low-profile duo wed in December after more than a year of togetherness. It was the first marriage for both. (And hey, we even made it through that whole item without one "Wedding Crashers" joke.)

What a difference a few days makes. On the heels of Paris Hilton's purported over-the-top PDA with her "Desperate Housewives" beau Josh Henderson at a recent Las Vegas soiree comes word of a far different public display. E! Online says the fledgling flames are on the outs after a "nasty" fight last week at a Los Angeles eatery.

Jessica Alba's recent quality time with longtime love Cash Warren has done little to quell talk of trouble. The New York Post claims the pretty pair was "acting distant" as they picked up swag while making the scene at the Coachella Music Festival last weekend. On Sunday, however, they were photographed looking thisclose as they sat courtside at the Warriors-Mavericks playoff game in Oakland, Calif.

Neve Campbell has flown under the radar since her "Scream" and "Party of Five" heyday, but she's apparently still worried about being targeted by the tabloids. The New York Post says the actress is set to tie the knot with little-known British thespian John Light in a "secret" ceremony Saturday in Malibu, and has warned friends and family to keep their cakeholes closed about the "I do" details. Expect the vow-swap to be heavy on the cringe: When Light proposed to Campbell in early 2006, he reportedly did so while reciting Shakespeare on one knee.

Paul McCartney has laughed off rumors of a romance with heiress Sabrina Guinness, insisting they're merely longtime pals, but that hasn't stopped the British press from delving into their so-called "deepening friendship." Hello! believes the former Beatle, 64, whose acrimonious divorce from Heather Mills has yet to be settled, has "got his life back together" with a little help from Guinness, 52. "Sabrina's a great lady and they share many great interests," an insider tells the mag. "She's been a supportive friend and I hope things work out for him this time. They are still seeing each other and spending time together as Sir Paul clearly enjoys her company."
