It was a busy weekend for celebrity birthdays, with Kate Hudson, Victoria Beckham, Suri Cruise and Emma Watson all being feted on their special days. Here's a rundown of the festivities:

Kate Hudson got the gift of snuggle-bunnies as she celebrated the big 2-9 Saturday in Miami with on-again squeeze Owen Wilson.

Shutterbugs captured blurry pics of the baby-craving actress playfully straddling the recovering funnyman as he kicked back on a patio-set sofa at the palatial mansion he's been renting while filming "Marley & Me" with Jennifer Aniston.

According to People, the fair-haired pair also squeezed in a birthday lunch with Wilson's parents at a South Beach eatery, complete with a candle-topped cake.

"Kate and Owen looked very happy," says an eyewitness, "and were talking up a storm to Owen's parents."

That night, Wilson, who recently jetted to Boston to visit Hudson (she's there shooting "Bride Wars"), joined her and several of her galpals for dinner at Ago before the twosome strolled over to hot spot Skybar with hands clasped.

There, Kate and Owen talked, smooched and were generally "very sweet looking" as they hung out by the pool, a spy tells the mag, adding, "It was super lovey-dovey."

A top-heavy Posh tries to keep from tipping over as she and hubby David make their way into her birthday bash.

In other birthday news, Posh Spice rang in the big 3-4 (OK, at least parts of her did) on Sunday night with a bash at a swanky Santa Monica, Calif., eatery that attracted a surprising number of stars.

Vicky, in a strapless white dress that hoisted her copious cleavage nearly all the way over her jutting clavicles, arrived at the party arm-in-arm with her color-coordinated, buzz cut-sporting hubby, David.

The eclectic guest list included usual suspects such as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, whose sunglasses-at-night-accessorized appearance at the party should quell those recent rumors of a rift with Mrs. Beckham.

Also on hand were Posh's new BFF, Kate Beckinsale, and fellow size double-zero pal Eva Longoria, along with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Elton John, Usher and Heidi Klum.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale entered the soiree with two wrapped packages bearing a card reading "D & V" (David's birthday is May 2), while Diddy touched off reconciliation talk by showing up with sometime love Kim Porter (the mother of three of his children), whom he parted ways with last summer.

No word on whether Victoria threw caution to the wind and allowed some tasty, calorie-laden cake to pass through her rarely upturned lips.

Two days earlier, Cruise and Holmes marked daughter Suri's second birthday with a shindig for friends and family (Posh was a no-show).

People says Katie's little-seen parents, Kathy and Martin Holmes, winged in from Ohio for the balloon-filled occasion, which was also celebrated by Tom's mom, sisters and older kids, Bella, 15, and Connor, 13.

The event took place at a residence in the Hollywood Hills, where the mop-topped tot apparently got good and sugared up thanks to a multitiered chocolate and vanilla cake festooned with white frosting and yellow polka dots and butterflies.

Paparazzi conveniently stationed nearby snapped the goings-on, including Tom planting a wet one on Katie as she held Suri (toting a creepy bald doll), a picture that should help quell those rumors of a rift in their 3-year-old romance.

Less wholesome birthday fun was had by Jessica Simpson, who made sure beau Tony Romo had a memorable 28th Saturday night in Dallas.

People says Ashlee's big sis was the center of attention -- for better or worse -- as she serenaded the quarterback with "Happy Birthday" and used both hands to smear him with cake, which was, of course, football-themed (it was shaped like a Cowboys star and had his jersey number -- 9 -- on it).

"She licked cake from his face as everyone cheered them on. It was quite a spectacle," an eyewitness informs the mag (also a spectacle: the photos of their frosting-covered tongue tangling). "But they looked really happy together. Jessica had blue icing all over her hands and mouth and Tony was laughing."

And, in a final bit of birthday news, Emma Watson, best known as wise witch Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" films, commemorated the start of her milestone 18th year in a way she'd probably like to forget -- with a panty flash.

Photographers invasively zoomed in on the actress' elegant black silk minidress as she climbed into her car following a dinner party with about 70 friends and family members at a London club.

The undies incident capped off a night that People reports included a toast with pink champagne, wine from her dad's vineyard and a four-tier cake baked by mom.

The evening was light on "Potter" cast mates, with only Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Katie Leung (Cho) spotted at the celebration, but Watson probably didn't notice given her arm candy.

The mag says she was accompanied to the bash by her new boyfriend, a 25-year-old banker she met through pals.

"He's gorgeous to look at and just lovely," enthuses a mole. "They seem really thrilled with each other."

Chimes in an invitee, "Emma looked ecstatic. It was just a fantastic party. Her father's speech was hilarious and she had this roomful of presents."
