Anyone who's seen snaps of Jennifer Garner on one of her many jaunts to the
playground with 16-month-old daughter, Violet, can tell she relishes every
second of her poopy diaper-packed lifestyle.
So smitten is she with her smiley, be-dimpled tot that she gushes to the May
issue of In Style that she feels "intoxicated" when she's with her. And when
she's not? She's like a "love-struck teenager."
Garner, Ben Affleck's less lantern-jawed half, 35, says she
doesn't "want to miss a second with Violet," which means she's still taking her
sweet time whipping her body back into its bulging bicep-sporting "Alias" prime.
"You're supposed to look a certain way when you're a celebrity, but I want to
take care of my baby, and those two things don't mesh very well," explains Jen,
whose lithe frame appears enviably free of any pregnancy poundage. "I feel like,
OK, so I'm soft ... It's nice. I don't want to be just a hard body."
Despite the oodles of mommy-and-me time Garner spends with Violet, she says
her tyke is definitely a daddy's girl.
"Violet prefers him to anyone," she enthuses to the mag. "He's a teddy bear
of a guy. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of them together and her
little hands on his face."
Alas, Garner is apparently overcome with so much domestic bliss that she
inadvertently describes her rehab-grad hubby in terms usually meant to indicate
a problem, not perfection.
"You know how as a kid you picture yourself with a tall, handsome husband,
and you imagine him cuddling your baby?" she dreamily wonders. "Ben is like
that, like, on crack."
