Jennifer Aniston is breathing easier thanks to her newly
un-deviated septum, but it turns out the air she's sucking down might also be a
whole lot healthier. Us reports the actress is attempting to ditch her
years-long dependence on cancer sticks. Loose-lipped "Dirt" co-star Laura Allen, who spent some time with Aniston
when she filmed her lip-lock-capped guest turn with BFF Courteney Cox a few weeks back, tells the mag, "Jen was
doing a total cleansing," and engaging in "a lot of yoga to stop smoking." But
is there a pose that can alleviate one's craving for caffeine-crammed carbonated
beverages? Allen says Aniston was also eschewing Diet Coke, and looked longingly
at the drink she was downing on set.
Drew Barrymore has reportedly polished the tonsils of both
Bruce Willis (!) and Spike Jonze in recent months, but she fesses up to
being lousy at the "dating thing." The sunny star, whose nearly five-year
romance with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti went belly-up in January,
admits to Glamour that she just doesn't "have that component in my brain and in
my memory as data of how a relationship with a man is supposed to function."
Still, she's convinced romantic clarity will come with age, and reveals how her
goals have changed over time. "I always thought that there would be a husband
and a big family in the picture. I thought that's so desperately what I wanted
because I didn't have it growing up," admits the twice-divorced Drew. "And it's
funny because now I'm 32, I'm at a prime position and time to welcome that into
my life, and ironically right now it's not what I want."
Meanwhile, Kirsten Dunst, who's recently been seen keeping company with
Barrymore's former flame Fab, wants to make one thing perfectly clear: She's not
looking to be set up. "I would never go on a blind date," the snaggletoothed
actress declares to W. "That sounds like the most uncomfortable thing on the
planet Earth. It's like, 'Hi. Nice to meet you. So, what kind of music do you
like?' Date ended." So what is she looking for? "I need to eat a piece of pizza
on a stoop in New York," Dunst explains, "and I cannot be with anybody fancy."
And finally, we wish a very speedy recovery to Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' 7-year-old daughter
Lily-Rose. The Daily Mirror reports the tyke has been "seriously ill" in a
London hospital for more than a week. The actor and his longtime love, who are
also parents to 5-year-old Jack, have remained by her side, says the paper,
which is keeping details of her condition under wraps to protect the
family's privacy. Depp, who is in town to film "Sweeney Todd," "has not asked
for any special favors, but just wants the best for his child, like any parent,"
an insider tells the tab. Thankfully, Lily-Rose is on the mend, with the
A-lister's rep saying in a statement on Thursday (via People), "We are happy to
report that their daughter is doing much better. The family greatly appreciates
the continued support and respect of their privacy."
