It's a good bet Justin Timberlake's ears weren't just burning this week --
they were charbroiled. The reason? The two shapely starlets he's supposedly been
spending quality time with in the wake of his January split from Cameron Diaz were enjoying some retail therapy together.
On Monday in Paris, Scarlett Johansson, 22, and Jessica Biel, 25, took a breather from eyeballing the latest
Fashion Week designs to browse the merchandise at the famed Bon Marché
department store.
No word on what the reigning and former Sexiest Women Alive discussed (or if
there were compare-contrast size-type hand gestures involved), but Justin should
probably be feeling a mite nervous right about now.
Scarlett, who tangles tongues with Timberlake in his video for "What Goes
Around ... Comes Around," has been seen with him on several occasions, including
a rendezvous in Miami during Super Bowl weekend. Still, she has said that
although he's "a sweetheart," he's just a friend.
Jessica, meanwhile, reportedly incurred the wrath of Diaz with her
flirtatious face-time with Justin at a post-Golden Globe Awards fete. The
callipygian cutie was later spotted snowboarding with the "SexyBack" crooner
during the Sundance Film Festival in late January.
When not bonding with Biel, Scarlett has been busy stumping for her
forthcoming flick, "The Nanny Diaries," with her latest PR push coming in the
form of a sit-down with Parade magazine. Among the topics covered: Her looks,
which she downplays as more boyish than bombshell.
"I don't think my features are entirely feminine," says Scarlett, who added,
perhaps after realizing that she hasn't seen her feet since she hit puberty, "I
mean, not my body, obviously ..."
Continues the comely actress, "Yes, I have full lips and obviously I have no
facial hair. But ... take somebody like Penelope Cruz. She's so feminine. Think about it.
She has, like, long eyelashes, and to me she just looks very feminine. When I
wake up in the morning and I have no makeup on ... I think I look like a young
boy."
One thing Johansson does like about herself is her work ethic, and she takes
pains to explain how important it is to be professional and punctual, unlike,
say, some of her big-screen peers (cough*Lindsay*cough).
"I'm very responsible when I'm working," she says. "I've just been doing it
for a long time, and I'm not the kind of person who is going to show up to work
three hours late, or maybe not come at all. That's just not who I am. That just
has to do with the fact that I understand that everybody else comes to work, and
we would all like to get an extra four hours of sleep, but what can you do?"
But ScarJo is also self-aware enough to recognize that she's being paid big
bucks for a relatively cushy gig: "I've worked so hard since I was eight years
old. Not HARD, like I have a hard job, but I've really worked."
