In Hollywood, proximity is often all that's required to spark rumors of a
red-hot liaison. Case in point: OK! magazine has issued a "new couple alert"
after spotting Keanu Reeves and Parker Posey taking a load off near one another at
the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles. "They were sharing a seat and sitting
very, very close," a spy tells the mag. "It was probably the oddest couple I've
ever seen." No word on whether the spotlight-dodging megastar and the indie
movie queen-turned-FOX comedy lead ("The Return
of Jezebel James" premieres March 14) are acquainted or merely generous
about sharing their personal space.
Those recent left-field whispers linking Justin Timberlake to Kate Hudson (roundly denied by both parties) apparently haven't affected
his relationship with girlfriend-of-more-than-a-year Jessica Biel. Us Weekly reports the chart-topper was
overheard discussing his plans to treat the callipygous starlet to a "special"
night out in New Orleans to celebrate her 26th birthday on March 3 (he's in
Louisiana filming "The Open Road"). "There's no tension surrounding those
cheating rumors," a friend of the flames tells the mag. "Everything's fine."

Looks like Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal's romance is one for the ages,
namely, the digital and carpal tunnel ages. The New York Post says the A-list
pair turned up for a Sunday matinee of the Broadway drama "August: Osage
County," but instead of taking in the wittily dysfunctional family antics on the
boards, they were "texting on their BlackBerrys the entire time." (Of course,
maybe they were just messaging each other about how darn good the production
was.) A spy tells the paper that Reese and Jake, whose trip to the Big Apple included shopping, dinner with pals
and a bit of promotional philanthropy, made a discreet exit at
intermission, not surprising given the audience appeared "much more interested
in watching them than the stage."

"We shop and cook and raise children -- we both pitch in." That's Cynthia Nixon (via OK!), opening up about her "fantastic"
four-plus-year romance with Christine Marinoni. "I'm in love with [Christine]
because she's her," says the "Sex and the
City" star, who fell for Marinoni after calling it quits with longtime love
Danny Mozes, the father of her two kids. "If she were a man, would I be in love
with her? I don't know."
In an admission that effectively paints a target on her leotard, "Dancing
With the Stars" blonde Julianne Hough has publicly taken a
vow of chastity. "I want to be with that special person," the 19-year-old
optimistically tells CosmoGIRL! (via "Entertainment Tonight). "I think [the choice] to have sex
before marriage is an individual one, but if you're just with one person, it's
only for one good reason, and [waiting to have sex] will strengthen that
relationship. I'm not trying to preach consequences here, but I think when you
say no, down the line it will be a better decision." By the by, the teetotaling,
nicotine-avoiding Hough is dancing this season with Adam Carolla, who once gave
a teenage staffer on his radio show a lie-detector test to determine whether he
was a virgin (he wasn't).
In other lack of action news, country starlet Taylor Swift says it's been two years since she's swapped
spit with the opposite sex. "I just don't have the time," she tells Blender.
