Looks like you can just lower those eyebrows over rumblings that George Clooney and Reese Witherspoon have been spotted dining a deux.
In Touch recently floated the possibility that the admittedly commitment-phobic
Sexiest Man Alive "may be interested in getting together" with the soon-to-ex
Mrs. Ryan Phillippe (and mother of two). However, "people close
to both stars" insist to the Chicago Sun-Times that their bread-breaking was
business, not pleasure. Seems the Oscar winners were chatting about the
possibility of Reese starring in a film about George's late aunt, Rosemary Clooney.
Did Jude Law warm the occasionally overheated cockles of his
heart during a recent trip to Iceland? That's the word from the London Sun,
which says the now Sienna Miller-free star cozied up last week with an
Icelandic TV host named Halla
Five-Syllable-Last-Name-That-You-Won't-Remember-Anyway while in Reykjavik, where
he was said to be vacationing with his three kids. On Friday, the two reportedly
dined at a tony eatery before boogying down and "smooching" at a local club.
"Jude found himself swamped by girls on the dance floor. But he was only
interested in Halla, who was attracting plenty of attention herself because she
is a big name in Iceland," a spy tells the tab. "They were getting very close
and made themselves scarce shortly after -- and it wasn't to get some fresh
air." Jude, who also enjoyed plenty of quantity and quality time with his
offspring during the getaway, has supposedly been in contact with Halla, who --
surprise, surprise -- wants to move to London to pursue acting, by phone since
he left Iceland.
Sienna, meanwhile, also enjoyed a recent vacation, albeit one requiring fewer
layers of clothing. Paparazzi snapped the still only semifamous "Factory Girl" actress in the Dominican Republic sunbathing
sans bikini top with little-known model-musician-dysfunctional-star-wooer Jamie
Burke, whom she was recently spied locking lips with in New York. Over the past
year or so, Burke has been linked with the rehabbed likes of Kate Moss, Lindsay Lohan and Courtney Love.
Will Elizabeth Hurley vow to stick with mogul Arun Nayar until
one of them kicks the bucket in front of the man she dated for 13 long years?
The London Daily Mail claims the calorie-conscious actress has not only invited
newly single ex Hugh Grant to her forthcoming wedding, but has asked him to
participate in the festivities. "He will be making a speech -- but pointedly it
will be clean," a source alleges to the paper. "It will be a comedy turn, but
there will be no smutty little asides or innuendoes about the relationship they
had all those years. Hugh and Elizabeth will be going through what is allowed to
be said and what is not. Elizabeth does not want to make her new husband feel
awkward or embarrassed on their big day."
Chris Tucker has apparently found a way to fill all that
free time he has between "Rush Hour" sequels. The New York Post says the
$25-million-a-movie star is spending quality time with R&B chanteuse India.Arie. "They traveled together to South Africa over the
holidays for Oprah Winfrey's party and school opening," a mole tells the
paper, "and they were also together at Mary J. Blige's pre-Grammy party at Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's house in L.A." Tucker's
mouthpiece, however, claims to be unaware of any love connection.
