Looks like Vince Vaughn could welcome in 2009 with a wife-to-be. In Touch says the barrel-chested, baggy-eyed funnyman, 38, is planning to pop the question to squeeze Kyla Weber, a Canadian real-estate agent, over New Year's. (And there goes the element of surprise.) A pal of the actor's tells the mag he's already selected a 4-carat-plus engagement ring with an estimated price tag of $125,000. "Vince is ready to get married and has been for a while," says the buddy. "He wants to start a family." Vaughn, who's been shooting the romantic comedy "Couples Retreat" on Bora Bora (his filming schedule was supposedly to blame for his no-show during the publicity blitz for "Four Christmases" with Reese Witherspoon), confirms he's off the market but, perhaps having learned a thing or two from his tabloid-bait, wedding rumor-crammed romance with Jennifer Aniston, offers few details. "I don't talk much about private matters," he informs USA Today. "But I am in a very happy, serious, committed relationship."

Has slipping on rented, disinfectant-sprayed shoes and throwing heavy objects down a long, narrow corridor put Kevin Federline in the mood for romance? That's the word from TMZ.com, which says Britney Spears' custody-retaining ex is wooing a member of his Party Animals bowling team, a 5'10" former volleyball player named Victoria Prince. No word on whether the blond Prince is the same woman K-Fed was blurrily snapped smooching a few days back. Federline, who is dad to Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, with Brit, and Kori, 6, and Kaleb, 4, with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, recently told People that he's single, explaining, "I don't feel comfortable bringing women in and out of the kids' lives."

You didn't need to be Nostradamus to predict that Kate Walsh's marriage to Alex Young was destined for the scrap heap. The "Private Practice" looker moved in with the high-powered studio exec in March of 2007, just a month after they met. Two months later, they were engaged, and four months after that, they tied the knot during a ceremony in which the bride was photographed looking pretty darn annoyed. But now Star is pointing the finger for the union's failure at one of Walsh's co-stars, claiming she's developed a "connection" with David Sutcliffe, who plays her SWAT team beau on the show. But Kate's rep adamantly denies the speculation, telling Perez Hilton, "There is no truth to this at all. Star never called us for comment."

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy may have staged a mock marriage proposal at Ellen DeGeneres' urging on Wednesday, but it seems the pair already consider themselves hitched. "We are already married in our hearts," the peroxide-topped autism campaigner tells "Access Hollywood." When asked if she'd answer in the affirmative if her beau of three years dropped down on one knee in a non-comedic way, McCarthy responded, "I would say, 'You are joking, because you know me better.' And, we love each other as is." Carrey, who is out stumping for "Yes Man," echoed Jenny's sentiments during his chat Monday with Larry King, who asked if they planned to say "I do." "No. I am married to Jenny," said the supplement-touting funnyman. "I love Jenny very much, and we have a great relationship. And we've both been married a couple times. ... I like it the way it is, and I think she likes it the way it is. And that's all we need." Concluded Carrey, "I really don't, at this point of my life, feel like I need to have the approval of someone in the collar or a judge to tell us that our relationship is sacred."
