Scarlett Johansson is steaming mad over the suggestion that she's been publicly blabbing about the joy of being Mrs. Ryan Reynolds. The mammose starlet, 24, who wed the ab-tastic actor in a private ceremony in September, is quoted in the January issue of Cosmopolitan U.K. as enthusing, "This is a very beautiful time for me. Getting married is a huge moment in anyone's life, and the few months leading up to it were a little crazy. But Ryan and I are in love, and we're enjoying evolving our relationship together. ... Ryan has a very romantic side. We both enjoy remembering little things that make us happy -- for me, that's what romance is all about." The problem? ScarJo prefers to keep her lip zipped about her personal life and apparently didn't utter any of that sentimental claptrap. Her rep fumes to E! News that the interview is "wholly fabricated" and she never chatted with the mag about her evolutionary union or anything else (some bits appear to be from her August sit-down with the U.S. version of Cosmo, along with a Hello! interview she did in August). The mouthpiece warns that legal steps will be taken; Cosmo U.K. tells Us that the matter is under investigation, adding that the marriage-related quotes were provided by a journalist and it ran them in "good faith."
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have moved on to the mooneyes stage of their fledgling relationship. People reports the pair looked "gaga" for each other Friday night at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, so much so that they hardly noticed when Drew Barrymore, who's sporting a sunny new bleach blond 'do, and Matthew Perry joined them. Last month, the "Office" funnyman and the British actress reportedly enjoyed a getaway to the luxurious San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara. "John really cares for Emily -- he totally fawns over her," a source told Star at the time. "And she's loving the attention. She's a down-to-earth girl, but it's nice to be treated so well." Blunt split from crooner Michael Bublé in July, and he gave the new romance his seal of approval last week, telling People, "I love that guy in 'The Office.' He's great."
The cast of "Gossip Girl" has garnered oodles of attention in recent days thanks to their love lives, what with Blake Lively and Penn Badgley's non-breakup and Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr's rumored hookup, and it seems Leighton Meester isn't about to be left out. The New York Post claims Queen B, 22, is engaged to squeeze Sebastian Stan, 26, whom she met on the set of the CW show last year when he guest-starred as con man Carter. But don't scour Tiffany for their registry just yet. The iffy source for this info is someone "close to" Meester who says the announcement was made on the pair's "secret" Facebook pages, the place for all things true and accurate. While the actress's rep offered only a "no comment" on the bended-knee nattering, Stan's publicist pooh-poohs to Us, "He is not engaged." What's more, a mole tells the magazine the purported Facebook pages are bogus.
Good news for those who love music: Jessica Biel is brushing off reports
that she plans to release some pop ditties with crooner-beau Justin Timberlake. "I've heard all these rumors that we are
doing an album together, but it's completely untrue," the starlet assures
FoxNews.com. Still, Biel does give her pipes a workout in her forthcoming film
"Easy Virtue," including warbling the standard "Mad About the
Boy," which you can judge for yourself here.
There are many who deserve sympathy in the current mortgage crisis, but Michael Bolton isn't one of them. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped the New York Post from claiming the onetime mullet-topped belter is facing a housing crunch following his September split from Nicollette Sheridan. See, he supposedly bought a $4.4 million Hidden Hills, Calif., pad with the "Desperate Housewives" actress last May and put his own $11 million Connecticut estate up for sale in late August, only to be kicked to the curb when their two-year engagement ended a short time later. "He's basically homeless -- and stuck with two houses," a source whines to the paper. "He and Nicollette split the Hidden Hills house, but she wants to stay there and not have him anywhere near it. She also doesn't particularly want to pay him [for] his half and thinks he should just give [the house] to her." Adds the snitch, "Michael's kind of screwed. He pulled up his longtime roots in Connecticut to live with her, and now she booted him. He's got nowhere to go." Except his choice of luxury hotel anywhere in the world. Anyhoo, Sheridan, who first hooked up with Bolton in 1992 (they called it quits five years later) and was last seen looking cozy with David Spade, insists that the house is hers and hers alone. Her rep tells "Extra" that the spread is "Nicollette's horse property -- she bought it." |
