Does Angelina Jolie have a new pet name for Brad Pitt? According to PageSix.com, the altruistic earth mother is now referring to her partner of nearly three years as her "husband" (and here we thought she would choose a saucy moniker like "The Big Easy," in honor of his good works in New Orleans).

You'll recall that the dad of Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 2, and Shiloh, 1, told Esquire last year that he and Jolie, who have three former spouses between them (one for him; two for her), "will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."

Speaking of failed marriages, Pitt was quick to set Larry King straight during an interview this week when the frequently befuddled CNN host implied his relationship with Jolie began while he was still hitched to Jennifer Aniston.

King segued into the Angelina arena by quizzing Brad, who is out stumping for his Make It Right foundation, about "getting emotionally involved with someone you're working with."

This prompted the perma-newsboy cap-topped star (like the look? Buy his hat here and support his cause) to put his hand up in the international sign of, "Whoa, there, suspender boy."

"Well, that [involvement] came after, Larry," he carefully pointed out. "That came after."

Not surprisingly, Pitt praised Jolie as "a woman of strong opinion and very specific beliefs and a great voice. I respect it. [She has] a great intelligence."

When asked if they "fight a lot," as the tabloids often claim, he says, "No, not really. We challenge each other [and] have good fun with that."

(Anyone else reading these pronouncements like fortune cookies and adding "in bed" to everything? Must just be us ...)

Another thing they're apparently having fun with? Deciding who wears the pants in the relationship, which, according to PageSix, is the same person who picks them out.

A snitch says the mac-and-cheese-needing Oscar winner defers to Pitt for her red carpet outfits, claiming, "Angelina likes when he dresses her."

As for the continent-hopping clan's plans for Christmas, Jolie tells Us Weekly they will celebrate the holiday in New Orleans, where they have a massive manse in the French Quarter.

Angelina and Maddox watch Brad speak at a New Orleans news conference on Dec. 3.

On Monday, a fresh-faced Jolie, with a playful Maddox by her side, proudly watched from the sidelines in the city's beyond-devastated Lower 9th Ward as Pitt announced his plans to build affordable, environmentally friendly housing as part of the Pink Project.

"We put in long days [working]," Brad tells King of his rarefied, rug rat-fueled life with Angelina. "And to go home and have dinner with your kids, and have to discipline one of them who's out of line, and still have the energy for that is ... I can't explain the fulfillment of that, but it is everything."

He gushes that his marginally prettier half is a "fantastic" mom who's "really inventive and great fun to them and very, very protective."

The actor also reiterates how he doesn't see any distinctions between his photogenic, multicultural brood.

"They're as much my blood as I am theirs," Pitt says of his three adopted ankle-biters. "And they are brothers and sisters. One came from Ethiopia, one from Vietnam, one from Cambodia, and one was born in Namibia. And they are brothers and sisters, and they have fun and they squabble and they fight, just like any other family. And it makes me so proud."
