Posted Nov. 19, 2008 Have you reached "Twilight" overload yet? If you don't feel the urge to sharpen a wooden stake whenever you hear the name Robert Pattinson, then please keep reading. The newly minted, nonthreatening heartthrob, 22, who plays brooding vampire Edward Cullen in the teen-targeted bloodsucker flick, told Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday that even though he's eliciting hysteria-tinged shrieks wherever he goes, he remains unhappily unattached. "No one else seems to get into a relationship with me. It's really strange," he says. "People like screaming at me. Actually, they like screaming at me in relationships as well. No one wants to commit." Perhaps it's Pattinson's pucker technique, which he says was put to the test while swapping spit with "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. "Yeah, I mean, it's terrifying. Especially when you kiss and you've got to do it at a weird angle or something," the British actor admits to Seventeen. "But I'm skirting the answer because I'm a really bad kisser. That's why I don't want to go into details! I hadn't kissed anyone for a while before the movie, so I'd kind of forgotten how!" Want more? Really? You can find out his -- OMG! -- celebrity crush and many other things Pattinson-related here.
Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have quickly fallen into a relationship routine. The back-on lovebirds returned to their usual haunt Monday night, stopping by the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles for a late-night bite. People reports that Jen, 39, and John, 31, who were spotted getting hands-on at a New York restaurant last week, chatted quietly and "closely." But they did break their romantic reverie long enough to say hello to Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who were seated at a nearby table. "There was a lot of excited talk between the two girls, with Nicole's head bobbing up and down as she talked to Jen," recalls a spy, who says that other than that brief interruption, the actress and the crooner were in their own little world. "They were positively glowing in the candlelight. You could see her classic 'Aniston smile' on her face," the suspiciously Jen-positive mole tells the mag. "They were very happy and goofy. They seemed to revel in their privacy."
The traditional second anniversary present is cotton, so here's hoping that Tom Cruise gave Katie Holmes some luxury linens for their big day, because she really looks as if she needs a good night's sleep. Could be that she's feeling a wee bit jet-lagged. People reports the couple celebrated their two years of legally sanctioned togetherness -- yes, it's been only two short years since they tied the knot in a lavish Italian ceremony capped off with a kiss so long that guests yelled "stop!" -- at their home in Los Angeles on Monday, a full day early to accommodate Katie's Broadway schedule for "All My Sons." Cruise and Holmes made it a family-centric occasion, spending the day with Suri, 2, Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13. But it was a quick trip for the actress, who jetted out of New York on Sunday and was back onstage Tuesday. Meanwhile, is Cruise gloating over their romantic endurance? "And they said it wouldn't last," Hello! quotes him as saying of their anniversary. "I guess we proved them wrong, didn't we?" As for Katie, "I think she's grown into her marriage with Tom and also grown into being a mother," a source observes to the mag. "There's only one word to describe her -- 'evolved.'" If this is a day in which the Earth revolves around the sun, it must mean Jessica Simpson is talking about how much she adores Tony Romo. "He is a good guy," the lately rubber-lipped-looking starlet told Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday's show. "And he's really just helped me along in life and taught me a lot about being comfortable being myself." Jessica, who will mark her one-year anniversary with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback over the Thanksgiving holiday, enthuses that he's "the whole package" (we assume they make an athletic cup for that) who has "taught me to calm down a lot. ... We're really a lot alike. I'm just more into fashion than he is!" Still awake? Simpson has one more scintillating revelation to share: "I'm not organized, and he's not organized either -- but [he] does make me want to be organized for us."
In other gushing news, Heidi Klum remains blissed out after three years of marriage to Seal. "Sometimes I lie in bed and I'm like, 'Oh my god, there's Seal lying next to me. What's he doing there?'" the "Project Runway" supermodel tells In Style. "I get a smile on my face immediately. Our honeymoon period is definitely not over." She says they keep the spark from petering out with dinner-and-movie date nights sans kids Leni, 4, Henry, 3, and Johan, 2 (renewing their wedding vows every year probably helps, too). "We like to keep it romantic. Some people wake up in the morning and turn over when they see their mate," reckons Heidi. "That's not us." And unlike the aforementioned Simpson, Klum admits she was the one who had to up her chic factor in order to compete with her clotheshorse spouse. "I've gotten more stylish since I've been with my husband," she informs the mag. "I was always making fun of him because he has so many leather coats, jackets and shoes. But he looks hot. I want to look good for him. So I kind of stepped it up a bit." |
