Romance Redux: Clooney's Ex File, More AM for Mandy?

Posted Oct. 23, 2008

The entire world is George Clooney's singles bar, but he seems to have a soft spot for the familiar. The New York Daily News says the good life-living A-lister, 47, is once again seeing lightbulb love Krista Allen, 37.

"Krista has always been there for him," a mole tells the paper. "She admits she just can't get over him."

Clearly understandable. And the Oscar winner?

"George really loves her," declares the insider, adding that he also "adores" her 11-year-old son.

The pair initially hooked up in 2002 after meeting during production of "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" (he directed; she had a small role) and they remained an item -- off and on -- until the spring of 2004.

Romantic recidivist that he is, Clooney reportedly rebounded with ex-girlfriend Lisa Snowdon that summer before reuniting with Allen in 2006, when they reportedly celebrated his Oscar win together.

The actor, who is currently styling a dapperness-depleting porn-stache for "Men Who Stare at Goats," has seemingly been flying solo since May.

That was the last month of his yearlong romance with Las Vegas cocktail waitress-turned-wannabe model Sarah Larson, who at this moment is likely giddily overflowing with optimism that she, too, may get a second shot at the Georgie-go-round.

Meanwhile, in other flame-rekindling news, Mandy Moore and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein may be giving their short-lived romance another chance in the wake of his plane crash last month, when she beelined to his bedside at a Georgia burn center.

"It's back on," an AM source tells Us Weekly. "Since the accident, it's blossomed into something again."

The two were supposedly spotted looking affectionate at a Beverly Hills shindig last weekend.

"He was holding her hand, and they were rubbing each other's backs," a spy tells the mag. "It was totally sweet."

The apple-cheeked starlet, 24, whose oddball assortment of exes include Zach Braff, Wilmer Valderrama and Ryan Adams, apparently decided she and Goldstein's brief hookup in early 2007 had potential.

"Mandy said, 'I like this guy a lot and I want to see where it can go again. Life is too short to not be with someone you really care about,'" shares the insider, who might want talk to AM's fellow survivor Travis Barker to see how well that's working out with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

As for Goldstein, 32, who was previously engaged to Nicole Richie, a pal says, "When you go through what Adam went through, you need people you love and people who love you. He will never stop loving her."
