Now that Orlando Bloom has finally lost the hotness-sapping but work-required bushy mustache that has been wilting on his upper lip for months, is he reaping the rewards of being fuzz-free?

Over the weekend, paparazzi snapped the flirtatious former elf strolling shirtless in proximity to an itty-bitty string bikini-clad Jennifer Aniston at a Mexican resort, a random close encounter that immediately -- and inevitably -- sent the rumor mill into overdrive.

Sure, the blurry shots show little more than the single stars soaking up harmful UV rays in the same general patio area, but that was enough to touch off talk of an A-list hookup.

Alas, it looks like there's no need to christen Jen, 38, and Orlando, 30, with an annoying nickname (Blaniston? Jorlando?) anytime soon.

"This is 100 percent not true," Bloom's spokeswoman pooh-poohs to MSN Entertainment of the love connection chatter.

According to the rep, the pretty pair was south of the border with their shared manager, Aleen Keshishian, to witness a vow-swap, a story confirmed by Aniston's mouthpiece.

"They were both in Mexico along with many others to attend a wedding of a friend who works at the management company where ... [they] are represented," he tells us.

The "many others" on hand for the destination nuptials reportedly included Natalie Portman, Laura Linney, Zoe Saldana and Orlando's repeat ex, Kate Bosworth.

Of course, this isn't the first time Aniston, who was last seen in the company of British model Paul Sculfor, has been linked to the lately field-playing Bloom.

You'll recall that back in April, In Touch claimed they enjoyed what was clinically described as an "exploratory date" with mutual friends.

"They were with other people," a spy told the mag at the time. "But they were deep in conversation all night."

Jen's spokesman dismissed the tête-à-tête as strictly professional.
