Is Cameron Diaz a closet "Felicity" fan? The New York Daily
News says the actress recently enjoyed a sand-and-surf getaway in the Bahamas
with Scott Speedman, who played titular star Keri Russell's broody on-screen (and, for a time,
offscreen) love Ben. "He has a house down there, and they were frolicking on the
beach," a spy tells the paper. "They were definitely smooching." The actress,
who spent much of 2007 playing the field after her bust-up with Justin Timberlake, was last seen dirty-dancing with summer fling John Mayer late last year at a New York nightclub.
Jessica Simpson appears to be adopting a "show don't
tell" strategy to quell rumors her romance with Tony Romo is on the rocks. Less
than a week after the starlet's attorney fired off a strongly worded letter to
OK! over allegations she and the Dallas Cowboys quarterback were on the outs,
the Texas twosome stepped out together Monday night in Los Angeles for some PDA
and off-key warbling. Us Weekly reports the night began at paparazzi-bait
restaurant Il Sole, where they cuddled up at a table filled with Jessica's usual
crew, including coif wrangler Ken Paves and former assistant CaCee Cobb. "Tony
couldn't stop touching Jessica!" says an overly excited snitch, who recalls in
eerie detail how the NFLer "put his finger under her chin and turned her face
towards him and gave her a long kiss while holding her face in his palm." After
dinner, they hit a club for some karaoke, where Romo was caught on video
butchering Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" as a slightly uncomfortable-looking
Simpson stood nearby. "He was singing directly to her," a spy enthuses to the
mag, "and she was on cloud nine."
Nothing tempts the relationship gods quite like needling a permanent tribute
to your beloved on your body, but that hasn't stopped David Beckham. The London Daily Mirror says the
soccer star has once again immortalized wife Victoria in a blood-encrusted ink stain, this time
adding a six-inch pinup shot of her to his arm. "They are both thrilled with the
result," a source tells the tab. "It's been beautifully done. Victoria was
flattered." The etching, which is entwined within an existing Hindi design
bearing her name, was reportedly inspired by Beckham's favorite photo of his
sinewy spouse, a snapshot that apparently wasn't available in a more convenient
and less painful wallet-size. Meanwhile, Posh has also recently added some new
ink, with the London Daily Mail pointing out the mysterious script now snaking
inside her wrist. No word on whether it's hubby-related or just a handy note to
remind her, "Don't smile."
Is a love connection brewing for two small-screen stars? Christina Applegate and Zachary Levi, who headline ABC's "Samantha Who?" and NBC's "Chuck," respectively, used some
of their strike-caused free time to do some "canoodling" at a Los
Angeles dive bar this week, according to Metromix Los Angeles.
Katherine Heigl was determined to give new hubby Josh Kelley a 28th birthday to remember on Tuesday night, so
she tossed him a fabulous shindig -- and then spilled to People to ensure all
the details were recorded for posterity. The mag says about 10 pals joined the
newlyweds for dinner at Los Angeles eatery Katsuya, where they chowed down
on delicacies specially selected by the actress, including -- and we know you're
on the edge of your seat awaiting this thrilling info -- Kobe beef, rock shrimp,
miso cod and spicy tuna on crispy rice. "It was really important to me to
celebrate Josh in a fun and intimate way," explains Heigl, whose idea of
intimacy apparently extends to sharing her thoughtful gesture with a major media
outlet the day after. The party later moved to a bar next door, where Katherine,
who repeatedly stepped outside for a nicotine fix, was spied kissing Josh on the
dance floor in front of a crowd that included Zach Braff and a host of C-listers we can't be
bothered to name (OK, here's one: Kristin Cavallari -- 'nuff said).
