Is Kate Hudson once again saying giddy-up to the Butterscotch
Stallion? The New York Daily News reports the actress, 27, rendezvoused with Owen Wilson, 38, this week in Australia, where she's been
filming "Fool's Gold" with Matthew McConaughey. A "pal" tells the paper that the
blonde-coiffed, look-alikes are giving their under-the-radar romance another try
after reportedly parting ways at the end of the year. "Owen backed out [of
the holidays] because he didn't want to deal with the whole situation with her
family," says the insider. "There's [estranged husband Chris Robinson] and the
baby [3-year-old son Ryder], and also Goldie [Hawn] and Kurt [Russell] don't approve of the relationship." While
Wilson's mouthpiece says he's currently in India, where he's starring in Wes Anderson's "The Darjeeling Limited," the News points out
that Hudson was uncharacteristically uncooperative this week with paparazzi.
"There was a five-day period when she requested no photographers," explains
another snitch. "[Her people] even threatened to get the police on them if they
didn't leave her alone." Still, it turns out the alleged Owen reunion isn't the
only romantic speculation Kate is dealing with. The Sydney Morning Herald says
she's also being linked to Jet frontman Nic Cester.
Given Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's somewhat bumpy road to love,
they may be looking for a wee bit of added insurance on their wedding day. Us
Weekly says the pocket-size "Desperate Housewives" star, 31, and the towering San Antonio
Spurs guard, 24, are planning to join the countless other couples who have
decided to get hitched on the numerological jackpot that is July 7, 2007. "Tony
is extremely superstitious and thinks that 07-07-07 is the day most lucky to get
married on," a source helpfully informs the mag. The ceremony is supposedly set
take place at the opulent Château de Chantilly, a castle-like estate located
north of Paris, with Longoria tapping designer Monique Lhuillier to create a
dress for her second long walk down the aisle. The actress, who announced her
engagement to Parker in November, two months after they reportedly took a brief
breather after two years of togetherness, will reportedly travel to France next
month with her wedding planner to hammer out the "I do" details, with an assist
from her future mother-in-law. "Tony wants [his mom] to feel that it's her day
as well as his and Eva's," a mole tells Us. Eva's rep, however, insists "nothing
is confirmed."
Colin Farrell seems to be doing his best to remain low-key
these days, even when it comes to his love life. The London Daily Mirror reports
the erstwhile Lusty Leprechaun is wooing an unknown British singer. Colin is
said to be "secretly dating" one Nicola Ward, who apparently hasn't quite
grasped the "secret" part of the courting equation, blabbing to the paper, "I've
been out with Colin a couple of times, but it's early days so I don't want to
say too much." What she will say is that she met the Irish actor while he was
filming Woody Allen's latest opus in London. "He took my number,"
she spills. "I didn't think in a million years he'd get in touch, so I was
really surprised when he called. I enjoy his company and, yes, he's a real
gent." Farrell was last linked to actress Lake Bell, his co-star in the upcoming cop drama
"Pride and Glory."
Never let it be said that Leonardo DiCaprio didn't celebrate his Best Actor Oscar
nomination for "Blood Diamond" to the fullest. The London Mirror says the
actor, who was in town this week for the film's premiere, club-hopped from late
Tuesday night straight through to Wednesday morning, when he headed off to the
airport. "He's on such a high after being nominated," a Leo confidante tells the
paper. "He doesn't come to London very often and wanted to make the most of it."
DiCaprio reportedly started the night at the pic's post-premiere party at Roka,
where he chowed down on sushi and enjoyed champagne cocktails and Grey Goose
vodka. From there, says the paper, Leo and 20 or so hangers-on hit several more
hotspots and downed more champagne and vodka before heading back to his
$8,000-a-night suite, where the party continued raging until he hopped in a limo
to catch his 9 a.m. flight. DiCaprio's bar bill was estimated to have ended up
in the tony neighborhood of $20,000. |
