Does Cupid need a new pair of glasses? His arrows appear to be whizzing
around Hollywood willy-nilly, resulting in some head-scratchingly random romance
rumblings. Here's the latest ...
Breakups can make a girl do funny things, even polish the tonsils of someone
old enough to be her dad. Take Drew Barrymore, who is rumored to be on the outs with easy-on-the-eyes Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, her squeeze of nearly five
years.
The New York Daily News claims the adorable actress, 31, got up close and
personal with -- eek! -- the gleaming dome of Bruce Willis, 51, at Prince's post-Golden Globes bash at the Beverly Wilshire
hotel.
"They were making out in front of everybody," a snitch tattles to the paper.
Drew seems to have a bit of a soft spot for father figures. She recently
admitted to Harper's Bazaar that as a kid she harbored crushes on both David Letterman and Ted Koppel.
"I like smart, weird, funny and sharp," she explained.
Willis, for his part, has been playing the field in recent months, although
even he has his dating standards. Two years ago, he vehemently denied
allegations that he got snugly with a then-teenaged Lindsay Lohan, who's a friend of his daughter Rumer (mom is
his ex, Demi Moore).
Meanwhile, has an Oscar winner caught the eye of a former denizen of the
Peach Pit? The New York Post says Renée Zellweger was spotting dining a deux with
bygone "Beverly Hills, 90210" heartthrob Luke "Dylan McKay" Perry last week in Los Angeles.
A spy blabs to the paper that the squinty-eyed twosome was seated at an
"intimate table" and "definitely on a date."
"They both looked super-skinny," recalls the mole. "He was looking very
grungy -- baggy jeans, lumberjack flannel shirt and baseball cap. She had on a
white button-down shirt, glasses and striped pants."
And in what we're assuming was some strange but flirtatious nod to crickets
everywhere, they were supposedly "rubbing knees" as they chatted "very closely."
Zellweger has been single since annulling her blink-and-you'll-miss-it union
to country warbler Kenny Chesney in late 2005, although she recently admitted
to Life magazine that she's "open to something new ... I just don't have any
expectations."
When asked whether she believed she'd fall in love again, the purse-lipped
actress hedged her bets, saying, "Maybe."
Perry split from wife Minnie in 2003 after 10 years and two kids together.
