Harrison Ford is returning to comedy. And no, he's not making a fifth "Indiana Jones" film (not yet, anyway). The screen icon is teaming up with Rachel "I've Decided I Want a Movie Career Again" McAdams for "Morning Glory."

According to Variety, the Paramount Pictures release will find Ford playing a morning news anchor who has a long-standing feud with his female counterpart (yet to be cast) on their failing show. McAdams will play an "aspiring" producer who tries to save their relationship and the show. Aline Brosh McKenna ("The Devil Wears Prada") wrote the original screenplay, and Roger Michell ("Notting Hill") is set to direct. Intriguingly, J.J. Abrams, of "Star Trek" and "Lost" fame, is producing.

Considering the quality of the filmmakers, the choice for the third lead will no doubt attract suitable talent. Meryl Streep, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michelle Pfeiffer all spring to mind, but how about reuniting Ford with his "Working Girl" co-star, Sigourney Weaver? The three-time Oscar nominee (how easily we forget), is on something of a comeback with a number of funny supporting roles over the past year, and she's said to have a prominent part in James Cameron's anticipated new adventure "Avatar," scheduled to come out in late 2009. If the part calls for witty bickering, there are few who can do it better than Weaver.

In the meantime, Ford will be seen next in the long-delayed drama "Crossing Over" (assuming it doesn't head straight to the DVD bins). McAdams, on the other hand, is currently filming "Sherlock Holmes" (opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law), and will appear in the thriller "State of Play" this spring.

Production on "Glory" is expected to begin shortly after Hollywood gets over its fears of a potential Screen Actors Guild strike this January.
