Have you watched "30 Rock" lately? Jack McBrayer was born to play Gomer Pyle.
He's found a lot of success doing voiceover work and bit parts in movies, but
this seems like a natural first lead role for the Georgia comedian. ... more He can't be
an NBC page forever.
Of course the story would need an update, but surely some liberal writer is
dying to write a satire on the war machine profiting on the lack of
opportunities for the ignorant and impoverished. Then focus groups would numb
that message down into a pleasing comedy for the whole family. The system works
and everyone wins.
