With the release of 'Like Crazy,' we reflect on our favorite young
couples

Ah, love. It makes you want to kiss strangers walking down the street because
life is wonderful. It makes you want to tell your friends everything about your
significant ... more other to the point that they exorcise you from happy hour. It makes
you want to buy expensive chocolate that actually tastes good instead of getting
the cheap stuff and shoveling it into your mouth.
Of course love can also do horrible things. It can make you check your phone
a hundred times an hour even though it's obvious to everyone else he isn't going
to call. It can make you lose your identity because you told him you loved
football on your first date and now you can't look like a liar. It can make you
stab your beloved (and several other people) with an ice pick.
If you've ever been in love, you can probably identify with most of the
situations above. Except, hopefully, for the ice pick.
But think back now to your first love. Before you knew any better and the
world was always going to be a magical cascade of rainbows. What a wonderful
time. It's no wonder that so many movies are devoted to young, first love. It's
a near-universal experience and it's awesome.
Hoping to capitalize on that awesomeness is "Like Crazy," a new drama starring Anton Yelchin and Felicity Jones. The film was a hit at Sundance
earlier this year, where it took home the Grand Jury Prize for Best Picture and
Best Actress. Paramount is clearly hoping for another "(500) Days of Summer"
with this one.
In celebration of the movie's release, here are 11 young couples from cinema
history that make us nostalgic for the old days when dating was fun and our
biological clocks seemed far off in the distance.
