Beyoncé lost 'The Princess and the Frog' role to 'Dreamgirls' co-star

Beyoncé was eager to land a role in "The Princess and the Frog," but refused to audition for it.

The singer was one of the frontrunners who were considered for the role of Princess Tiana, Disney's first black princess, in the animated 2009 film, but she lost out to her "Dreamgirls" co-star Anika Noni Rose, because she wouldn't audition.

Bing: Beyoncé duets with blind fan

"Confessions of a Casting Director" author Jen Rudin tells the New York Post, "Beyonce expected an offer, but wouldn't audition and so she didn't get one.

"Tyra Banks, Jennifer Hudson wanted it. Alicia Keys auditioned three times... They had to sing, so we made it clear they needed sheet music.

"Tyra came in with a CD, but it didn't matter because she was so pretty and nice. It went to Anika Noni Rose, who was the most qualified."

If she didn't audition for it then she obviously didn't want the role that badly.

Beyoncé isn't that great a singer. She mumbles a lot when she sings.

If she auditioned, she would not get the part, because she is not that great.
