The production company has been named in a lawsuit filed by Richard Houpert, who lost part of his hand due to a faulty table saw. The plaintiff sawed off fingers on his right hand and sustained multiple fractures, and claims the accident could have been avoided if the tool he was using had been properly fitted with "safety components such as saw stops and safety guards."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Houpert claims the on-set injury has led to him losing work and income. He is seeking $1 million in damages. Houpert is also suing Black & Decker - the company that manufactures the table saw.

Lose of earnings? Who is going hire him after this article?Although 1mil. seems meager for a lawsuit,if I were the judge I would award him 1$, and point out to him that " You cannot sue someone because you hit your thumb with a hammer, and that 1$ was awarded to the Umpire who tried to sue the fan for harassment"!

His only compensation will be from Workers Comp. This is a publicity stunt.
