Wesley Snipes joining next 'Expendables' flick?

Sylvester Stallone is set to kickstart Wesley Snipes' Hollywood comeback by offering him a role in the third "Expendables" installment, according to a report.

Snipes was released from prison on April 2 after a 27-month stint behind bars for tax evasion. He is currently under house arrest until July, but the actor has already landed his first post-prison role after his "Demolition Man" co-star Stallone wrote a part for him in the next "Expendables" movie, according to the New York Daily News.

A source tells the newspaper, "Sly wants to help Wesley get back on his feet. He sees him as a super addition to 'The Expendables' in what will be their biggest adventure yet.

"The script is being processed and Sly wants Wesley to jump on board. Filming is likely to start late this year."

Stallone told fans on Twitter last month that he was in the middle of writing the film's script and was on the lookout for the new action heroes to join the cast, which has included Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He wrote, "Writing EX3 at the moment ... there are going to be mountains of surprises ... EX3 needs NEW blood and more humor ... The films were always meant to be more on the humorous side with moments of drama."

Good for him!  He did his time and now needs to get on with his life.  Very nice of Sly Stallone to write a part for him.

I can't wait for EX3....Mr. Snipes will make an excellent addition regardless if he is a hero or villain in the movie....He was an outrageous villain in Demolition Man and I loved the character....Mr. Stallone you are just awesome when it comes to the Expendable is so awesome to see all my movie heroes aging and having the same aches, pains and just plain "oldness" like

That's great.  It was ridiculous  that he had to go to jail at all. He went because he talked mess and they had to teach him a lesson.
