'Arrow' star in talks for 'Fifty Shades' role?

"Arrow" star Stephen Amell has hinted that he's been approached to play Christian Grey in a movie adaptation of E.L. James' bestselling erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Just a week after movie executives were forced to dismiss rumors suggesting Emma Watson had been cast as sexy student Anastasia Steele, all eyes are now on the Canadian actor after he recently confessed in a Facebook chat with fans that he has been involved in talks about the role of masochistic billionaire Grey.

He says, "I get questions about Christian Grey all the time. That project is a long way off. I know this because I had a meeting about it. A long way off. I mean, not that long. But not close."

Ian Somerhalder is considered a fan favorite to land the role, but he has so far refused to speculate about the film.

Watson's apparent casting hit blogs and gossip sites a week ago when anonymous hackers leaked stolen documents from a German film studio. Among them were letters that appeared to confirm the "Harry Potter" star would be playing Steele.

Film bosses insisted the documents were old.

Anson Mount is the actor to play Christian Grey. No two ways about it. If any woman has seen the TV show Hell on Wheels, she'll know exactly what I'm talking about. This man is so beautiful it's ridiculous, and he has the attitude as well as the looks to play Christian to a tee. I sure hope they don't end up casting somebody too safe, with a "name."
