Actor Liam Hemsworth has pulled out of an appearance at the world premiere of his new movie, "Empire State," next week amid ongoing reports that his relationship with his fiancée, Miley Cyrus, is on the rocks.
The "Hunger Games" actor has been spending time with his family in Australia recently as rumors continue to swirl over the state of his romance with Cyrus, who has remained in the U.S. Now it has emerged that he has chosen to skip the Gasparilla International Film Festival in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday, when he was expected to promote his latest release. He will be extending his vacation instead.
Cyrus fueled split reports earlier this month by stepping out without her engagement ring, just days after blasting a tabloid report suggesting she had called off her wedding.
Hemsworth will join co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Emma Roberts on the absent list at the film festival, but Nikki Reed, Shenae Grimes and Michael Angarano are expected to attend.
