Comedian Jim Carrey hopes director Peter Farrelly will follow through with plans to cast Emma Stone in the upcoming sequel to "Dumb And Dumber" because she would be an "awesome" addition to the line-up.
Farrelly, who will take charge of the new movie with his filmmaking brother Bobby, recently admitted Channing Tatum and Stone would be perfect for the comedy franchise, claiming "The Amazing Spider-Man" actress would "knock it out of the park" as a "young, dumb girl" -- and Carrey, a self-professed fan of the actress, agrees.
Giving his full support to Farrelly's dream casting, he says, "That would be great. That would be awesome."
The funnyman reveals he and his old pal Jeff Daniels are "ready" and "raring to go" to resume their roles as two dim-witted pals in the follow-up to the cult 1994 hit -- they're just waiting on studio executives to give the project the go-ahead.
Carrey tells Eonline.com, "It (the hold-up) is administrative. The green light committees have to have their way."
