Self-help author and guru Debbie Ford loses cancer battle at 57

Debbie Ford, the author of self-help bible The Dark Side Of Light Chasers,
has died, aged 57. The author lost her battle with cancer at her home in
California on Sunday (17Feb13). A statement posted on Ford's website by her
sister Arielle reads, "She had accomplished her mission, even though she would
have liked more time with her son Beau and her family... "Her legacy and work
will live on through the programs she developed and through her loving and
devoted staff at The Ford Institute for Transformational Training." As well as
writing a nine books, Ford fronted workshops and hosted TV and radio shows aimed
at helping people face their fears. She often shared her personal battles with
drug addiction and divorce. Her books also included titles like Spiritual
Divorce and The Best Year Of Your Life. She co-wrote The Shadow Effect with
self-help guru Deepak Chopra and Marianne Williamson.
