Jessica Chastain wants West End role

Jessica Chastain is keen to swap Broadway for the West End after wrapping up her stint on stage in New York last week.

Bing: Chastain in 'The Heiress'

The "Zero Dark Thirty" star has been juggling her Hollywood awards season commitments with a starring role in a Broadway production of "The Heiress," opposite former "Downton Abbey" actor Dan Stevens. The show closed on February 9, but Chastain is already keen to get back onstage again, and has set her sights on London's West End or the city's famous National Theatre.

"I would really like to work on the West End stage," she told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper. "It's a bit of a dream of mine, or to tread the boards at the National. That would be incredible."

Chastain's next job will reportedly be a movie adaptation of a play: August Strindberg's drama "Miss Julie."

Before she EVER  goes back onstage, Miss Chastain needs to learn a little discipline...she's missed performances, caused her play to end early, and even caused the rescheduling of curtain time for her LAST  performance.  She's no stage actress, that's for sure....better to stick with movies.....
