Oscar-winning British director Tom Hooper is hoping to step out of the spotlight after the upcoming Academy Awards by swapping Hollywood for the West End.

The director has enjoyed huge success with his latest box office hit, the movie adaptation of "Les Misérables," which is nominated for eight awards at the Oscars later this month.
However, Hooper is planning to take a long break after the ceremony, and he hopes to work on a much smaller project, such as directing a play in London's West End.
"I'd love to direct a play," he told the London Evening Standard. "In six months time I may decide to do something ridiculously hard. I just want some time off now."
