Pierce Brosnan hints that Oscars tribute will be minus one Bond

Pierce Brosnan has implied that the plan to honor all six James Bonds at the Oscars has hit a snag -- one former 007 won't be there.

Oscars bosses recently revealed they had extended an invitation to all the movie Bonds -- from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig -- to attend the Academy Awards on Feb. 24, but the "Die Another Day" star has revealed there's one holdout.

Asked to confirm his participation in the get-together during a shopping trip in Malibu, Calif., on Sunday, Brosnan told TMZ.com, "They'll be missing one."

Brosnan refused to comment on who the one might be.

Oscar producers have already confirmed the participation of Bond theme singers Adele and Shirley Bassey.

The worst Bond movie is still better than most other action movies. As a true Bond fan I like them all and they were great in their time. Too bad they all won't be there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Connery doesn't show.  He's been very reclusive since he retired, and hasn't been kind about his thoughts on the Bond franchise.
