The actor hopes to make his third film, "Akil," with Griffith, who starred in his directorial debut, "Crazy in Alabama," in 1999.

That's great Antonio. Melonie is too good an actress not to be working.

I've always been amazed that Griffith didn't "go Hollywood" at the height of her career.  I always felt that, unless you're a weirdo of some sort, she would chat with you -- briefly, of course -- should you run into her at a supermarket.   And her mother's work with homeless animals is worthy of a Nobel.  I hope the next First Lady of our country makes humane rights her agenda.

It is wonderful that Banderas and his lovely wife are hooking up to make this MOVIE? But I think they should come up with a more suspense type movie involving the mystic attributes of the unknown, digging deep into the seen and unseen sychics of deep spiritual and physical worlds. Griffith is a Master of this and so is Banderas if he is able to write himself in to the logic of it all. I cannot explain what the hell I am trying to say, but too many movies today are too common and after the 1st 5 mins of most movies I watch, I can figure them out already. The impossible is always possible, dont you think?

Melanie Griffith has been away from the big screen for far too long.  Where's she been, by the way?  Kudos to Antonio for hiring his wife!!!  I can hardly wait to see what he's got in store for her return to the screen, and wonder if she had to audition for the part?

Melanie needs to get her "joy" back, and feel good about herself again, then she will care more, and her spark will come back, and she will have more courage to be strong against all those things that she has a weakness for. and she can look those things in the face and say to herself, "I am better than this, and I deserve better, and I am going to treat myself good"...
