Tommy Lee Jones has avoided a huge payout to talent agency WME after bosses at the company decided to drop their court case against him.
Bing: Jones in Oscar front-runner 'Lincoln'
The California State Labor Commissioner ruled last October that the Oscar-winning actor owed the agency $1.95 million in commission for his role in "No Country For Old Men."
However, earlier this month, the Los Angeles Superior Court approved WME's request for dismissal, suggesting an out of court settlement had been agreed.
The case originally stemmed from a battle between Jones and Paramount over the actor's back-end compensation for "No Country For Old Men," for which the star was eventually awarded $15 million.
