Leonardo DiCaprio taking a break from acting?

WENN

Leonardo DiCaprio may take a break from acting because filming three movies in two years has left him exhausted.

Bing: Leo snubbed by Oscar

DiCaprio's latest film, "Django Unchained," is among this year's Oscars favorites, and he is also starring in two upcoming films, an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" and "The Wolf of Wall Street" directed by Martin Scorsese.

DiCaprio says that after such a busy year, fans will have to wait a long time before they see him in another film. He tells Germany publication Bild, "I'm a little bit drained. I am now going to take a long, long break."

When asked about his hiatus, DiCaprio suggested he plans to focus on his environmental activism, adding, "I would like to improve the world a bit." During the interview, the star also revealed he speaks some German and actually practiced with his Austrian/German co-star Christoph Waltz while they were making "Django Unchained."

For all you people dissing Leo for this - at least he's not turning to alcohol and drugs to solve his exhaustion - he's taking time off.

I think DiCaprio is a really great actor and handsome too! He should have had many awards by now and also Sexiest Man Alive! Why is he overlooked?

I finally got to see Django Unchained yesterday.  Leo was GREAT in it as was the whole movie!  I don't doubt that he gets worn out (as we all do from working every single day!) - rest up good Leo then return to those of us who LOVE you.  Enjoy your down time.

A true professional in his career. Overlooked for many awards. A great actor. He knows what he wants and when you want to rest, you do it. You take your time coming back. You deserve a rest and then some. As for the environmental activism, at least you care and have great ambitions. Thanks for helping and caring.

While I recognize that he is also a terrific actor, I sure am going to miss his pretty face onscreen :(  I, as well as others I'm sure, go see every movie Leo is in.
