Helena Bonham Carter and her director-partner, Tim Burton, are taking a break from the movie industry to concentrate on family life.
Bonham Carter, who won a top prize at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards on Sunday, admits juggling her roles as an actress and mother is hard work.
The busy stars have both decided to bow out of the spotlight for a while to focus on their young children, son Billy, 9, and 5-year-old daughter, Nell.
"It's hard," Bonham Carter tells British newspaper The Daily Express. "I'm dropping all the balls at the same time. You always think you're doing everything badly. Tim is taking time out, and we are trying to be parents now, which is far harder than anything else. "
