Actress Naomi Watts opted to wear a wig to portray the late Princess Diana in an upcoming movie because she wasn't "brave enough" to cut her hair for the role.

The actress plays the lead in Oliver Hirschbiegel's upcoming drama "Diana," which focuses on the last two years of the British royal's life before she died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. Watts was photographed in character throughout the shoot, but she say the short bob she sported to portray the late princess was not her real hair.
She tells Britain's Marie Claire magazine, "I loved wearing a wig to play Princess Diana in 'Diana.' Changing my hair for roles is liberating, even if it's not always a look I'd go for. That style was emblematic of the time, but I'm not brave enough to go that short." "Diana" is set for release later this year.
I don't care if an actress wears a wig, but how about trying for an actress that looks something like the person they will portray..*choke* can anyone honestly say that Watts has any similarities (besides blue eyes? Hell I have blue eyes but I know I look nothing likke Diana and I was wearing that hairstyle early 80's at age 14, she was wearing it in the mid 90's.
Talking about stars who look nothing like the person they portray ,Lindsay Lohan LOOKS NOTHING like Elizabeth Taylor, no matter what age !
