A representative for Britney Spears has shot down reports that the singer is set to appear in a big-budget Bollywood movie.

Bing: Britney plans new album

An Indian film producer reportedly told The Times of India that Spears had signed up to perform a song-and-dance routine in a new Hindi production. 

"Britney's song is an integral part of the film," Sadanandan Lucsam was quoted as saying. "She sings and dances to the title track of the movie, which is a peppy number and will be shot lavishly."

However, Spears' spokesperson insists the singer has not agreed to appear in any Bollywood production, saying, "No truth whatsoever. They may have signed a Britney Spears. But if they did, it's a different Britney Spears and we wish them good luck with their production."
