Senators write Sony, criticize 'Zero Dark Thirty'
By DONNA CASSATA , Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Three senators have written to the head of Sony Pictures Entertainment criticizing the movie "Zero Dark Thirty" as "grossly inaccurate and misleading" in its suggestion that torture produced the tip that led to Osama bin Laden.

The three members of the Senate Intelligence committee -- Dianne Feinstein, Carl Levin and John McCain -- told the president and CEO of Sony, Michael Lynton, that he has an obligation to say that torture in the hunt for bin Laden was fiction and not based on fact.

The lawmakers said the CIA detainee who provided significant information about bin Laden did so before any harsh interrogation.

The three described themselves as fans of Sony movies. But they warned that Americans will see the film and believe the events are factual.

1.  I would hazard a guess that Senator John McCain knows more about torture than the  Hollywood movie makers or the clowns posting on this board.

2. It's a safe bet that the Senate Intelligence Committee knows more about the operation than a Hollywood movie maker or the clowns posting on this board. Whether they intend to share it with the public or whether classified information should be shared with the public is an entirely separate issue.

3.  The fact that the senators actually realize American voters are gullible and naive enough to believe everything they see on TV, watch in the movies and read on Facebook, Twitter and blogs (like the clowns posting on this board who have absolutely no credible facts) is a sad statement on the US electorate.

Not that I disagree with all you said but you NEED to look up McCains military record and his years spent in the Hanoi Hilton.

It probably did happen. I would trust a lying, sneaky politician or anyone in our government about as much as two time felon working as a snitch.
