LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Film critics love "Lincoln." The historical drama earned a record-breaking 13 nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards.
The Broadcast Film Critics Association announced the nominees for its 18th annual awards ceremony Tuesday in Los Angeles.

"Lincoln" beat the 12 nods earned by 2010's "Black Swan" with bids for director Steven Spielberg, star Daniel Day-Lewis and supporting actors Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones, as well as cinematography, adapted screenplay, costume design, makeup, editing, art direction, score and acting ensemble.
"Les Miserables" follows with 11 nominations and "Silver Linings Playbook" has 10. "Life of Pi" earned nine nods. "Argo," ''Skyfall" and "The Master" each have seven.
Winners will be announced Jan. 10, 2013, at a ceremony set to be broadcast live on the CW network.
"Lincoln" is, by far, one of the finest films I've seen in a very long time. It was a feast for the eyes and the senses. It was brilliantly done on so many levels and the acting was absolutely superb. I'd never paid attention to Daniel Day Lewis before, but he was absolutely stunning. Sally Field also did a fine job as Mary Todd Lincoln. It was an incredibly nuanced performance. It portrayed her in a very sympathic light in that we all knew that history showed that Mary Lincoln was unbalanced, however, this film portrayed her as a woman who knew that she was unbalanced, but could rein it in when necessary. Tommy Lee Jones has always been a favorite of mine and did not disappoint. His last scene was beyond satisfying. I was also glad to see James Spader who added some fabulous comic relief.
Every American over the age of 12 should see this film.
These infamous leftist writer and producer had their own agenda push intentions here. What a convenient time in current history for libs to make such a film... Also, Lewis is one of today's finest actors but not only was this boring unless you have a real historical interest for the 13th amendment, it was inaccurate.
For anyone interested (especially gear lube) .... &
I was hoping for a great epic about Lincoln's life from his upbringing to how he became President of these United States... not a couple of hours of boring rhetoric.

Glad you enjoyed it. Too bad it isn't factual. It may have already been stated, but Lincoln did not support nor push for the 13th amendment. I thought the acting was good, but if you are a student of American History, you will soon realize that this movie is more like Fiction than anything else..
