Born in Hollywood, she is perhaps best known for her role as Mayor Shinn's eldest daughter, Zaneeta, in the 1962 classic comedy, but she also starred in "Carousel" alongside Shirley Jones.

Her other credits include the TV movie "Annie Get Your Gun" and "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show." Douglas, who made her theater debut when she was just 6, also appeared in a number of stage productions, including the original Broadway adaptation of Disney's "Peter Pan."

Oh my, another one passing away!!  Miss those old movies & TV shows--they were cleaner, less cussing, etc.  I'm an old lady myself & am not impressed by how many bedroom scenes & cuss words & nudity a show can squeeze in their time format.  I want to be entertained, taken away from harsh, cold reality, there's enough of that on the news every day.  Blissful ignorance??  Sounds good to me!!!!!!
