"Bullitt" villain Pat Renella has died, aged 83. The veteran character actor passed away on Nov. 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a lengthy illness.

Renella, whose gangster character was shot by Steve McQueen at the end of the classic 1968 movie, also appeared on "The New Phil Silvers Show," "Mannix" and other TV series such as "McCloud," "Cannon," "Police Woman" and "The Rockford Files." He was also the TV face of Viceroy cigarettes.
