Filmmaker Michael Moore has launched a project to document Election Day, and he is urging his online fans to help him out.

The famed political activist wants to record the events of Nov., 6 at the grassroots level by gathering images of Obama supporters casting their ballot at the polling booths.

He has taken to Twitter to ask his 1.2 million followers to send him photographs of them placing their vote, and he will add them to his website. As he encouraged his fans to head to the polls, Moore tweeted, "Here we go! Take an Obama election day photo and tweet it to me with 2012 photos & I'll post on my site."
