The Oscar winner is reportedly being considered for the role of Electro, a Spider-Man foe who can control electricity, in director Marc Webb's follow-up to this year's blockbuster. Foxx took to his Twitter page on Thursday and fueled speculation by writing, "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."

The movie, which is set to star Andrew Garfield as the web-slinging superhero once again, is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2014.

I don't see why they can't stick to the source material, why do they have to change character's races in movies or the comics? There are black characters in comics, and if they don't feel like these characters are good enough, maybe they should come up with some new, original, and better characters. I would like to see a Black Panther, or Luke Cage movie.

Is there any originality left in Hollywood?

I'm still waiting for a movie based on Contra.  They keep screwing up classics by making movies out of them, so why not go for one of the best.  They already screwed Double Dragon and Super Mario.

I see that they can make supporting characers and villains black. There was a huge uproar when they were considering making Spidey black. No one cares about Nick Fury or villains apparently.
